Book Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros are a folk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2005 and led by singer Alex Ebert. The name was taken from a messianic character, Edward Sharpe, in a tale Ebert invented as a teenager. The group mixes roots rock, folk, gospel and psychedelia, and its look and sound recall the communal spirit of 1960s counterculture. Their studio albums are Up From Below in 2009, Here in 2012, the self-titled Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros in 2013 and PersonA in 2016. Their best-known song, "Home," is a duet between Ebert and a female bandmate and became a big-selling favorite across the world. With a large ensemble on stage, the group stages communal, sing-along performances full of horns, handclaps and wild, joyful energy.
