Start with the singer list
Our singers hub lists every solo vocalist on the site A to Z, and the bands hub covers groups. You can also browse by genre if you know the sound you want but not the name. Each page shows an estimated fee range, so you can narrow by budget from the start.
What does it cost to hire a famous singer?
Estimated fees for music acts on the site run across all nine fee ranges, from under $25K to $5M+. Plenty of well known voices sit in the lower ranges, especially legacy hitmakers and newer artists. For the full breakdown, read how much it costs to book a celebrity, or scan the celebrity booking fees list. A few examples by range: under $25K, Lloyd Banks, Example, Ghostface Killah; $100K–$250K, Jessica Simpson, Ashley Tisdale, Leighton Meester. All are estimates, not quotes.
Full band, tracks or acoustic?
This is the question that moves the budget most after the name itself. A singer with a full touring band brings more people, more gear and a bigger rider. Some singers can perform to tracks or with a small acoustic setup, which is lighter on travel and production. Say which you have in mind (or that you are open) when you send your inquiry.
Set length and the run of show
A typical private set is somewhere between 30 and 90 minutes. Decide where the performance sits in your night: before dinner, after the speeches, or as the closer. Note whether you want a specific song, a first dance or a short meet and greet. These are all things that get agreed in the contract, so put them on the table early.
Sound, stage and the rider
A singer needs a proper sound system, monitors, a stage that fits the band, and a green room. Your venue may already have some of this, and your production company can fill the gaps. Budget for it separately from the fee, along with flights, hotel rooms and local transport for the singer and crew.
Weddings, birthdays and private parties
Many singers take private bookings, and a surprise performance at a wedding or big birthday is one of the most memorable things you can do. Some artists turn down private shows during tour season, so a flexible date really helps.
