Book Goldfrapp
Goldfrapp is an English electronic duo from London, formed in 1999 by vocalist and synthesist Alison Goldfrapp and synthesist Will Gregory. Their debut, Felt Mountain (2000), was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Black Cherry (2003) added glam rock and synth-pop to the mix, and Supernature (2005) pushed into dance music, producing three number-one American dance singles and a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic/Dance Album. Seventh Tree (2008) turned toward ambient and downtempo sounds shaped by nature and paganism, while Head First (2010) explored 1980s-style synth-pop and earned the pair a second Grammy nomination in the same category. Tales of Us followed in 2013 and Silver Eye in 2017, making seven studio albums in all. The duo's cinematic, glamorous electronic pop has moved from moody atmosphere to sleek dance floor energy, and its albums span an unusually broad range of electronic styles.
