Book The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers have won four Americana Music Association awards, including Duo/Group of the Year in 2007, 2010 and 2011 and Emerging Act of the Year in 2007. Led by brothers Scott Avett, on banjo and vocals, and Seth Avett, on guitar and vocals, with Bob Crawford on bass and Joe Kwon on cello, the Concord, North Carolina band mixes bluegrass, country, folk, punk energy and pop melody. The brothers grew up playing music with a concert pianist grandmother and a guitarist father, and they formed the group in 2000 after playing in rock bands. Independent albums including Country Was, A Carolina Jubilee, Mignonette, Four Thieves Gone and Emotionalism built a passionate fan base through constant touring. Producer Rick Rubin then signed them and produced I and Love and You (2009), their major label breakthrough, followed by The Carpenter, Magpie and the Dandelion, True Sadness and Closer Than Together. Their self-titled album arrived in 2024. Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio documented them in the film May It Last, and their songs became the Broadway musical Swept Away in 2024. Their shows feature multi-part harmony, rotating instruments and audiences singing along to every chorus.
