Book The Shins
The Shins began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1996 as an indie rock project built around singer and songwriter James Mercer, the one constant member through many lineup changes. Signed to Sub Pop, the group released Oh, Inverted World in 2001, Chutes Too Narrow in 2003, Wincing the Night Away in 2007, Port of Morrow in 2012 and Heartworms in 2017. Their song "New Slang" gained wide attention after it was featured in the film Garden State in 2004. Mercer also made records with producer Danger Mouse as Broken Bells. The Shins are known for literate, melodic songwriting, jangly guitars and sweet harmonies, and they bring a polished live show to festivals, theaters and headline tours with a deep catalog of favorites that fans sing back word for word.
