Book LP
LP is the stage name of Laura Pergolizzi, a Brooklyn-born performer, musician and songwriter. Before stepping into the spotlight, LP built a name as a writer, with songs written for Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Céline Dion, Cher Lloyd, the Backstreet Boys and other stars. David Lowery of the band Cracker spotted LP onstage and used them on "Cinderella," a hidden track on the 1998 album Gentleman's Blues, then produced the debut album Heart-Shaped Scar in 2001. Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol followed in 2004, and LP signed with SoBe Entertainment in 2007. The later albums are Forever for Now (2014), Lost on You (2016), Heart to Mouth (2018), Churches (2021), Love Lines (2023) and Room 12 (2026), nine studio records in all. LP is recognized for a soaring, whistle-assisted vocal style and a distinctive, high-energy live show that centers on the voice.
