Book Goo Goo Dolls
The Goo Goo Dolls are a rock band from Buffalo, New York, led by singer and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac, who began as a punk-leaning bar band in the mid-1980s. After albums including Jed, Hold Me Up and Superstar Car Wash, they broke through in 1995 with "Name" from A Boy Named Goo. Dizzy Up the Girl in 1998 was a massive success, producing "Slide," "Black Balloon" and "Iris," a ballad written for the film City of Angels that became their signature song. Later albums include Gutterflower, Let Love In, Something for the Rest of Us, Magnetic, Boxes, Miracle Pill and Chaos in Bloom in 2022. Grammy.com lists three nominations. Their heartfelt, melodic rock keeps them busy on amphitheater tours, festivals and corporate stages.
