Book Rivers Cuomo

Rivers Cuomo is an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist, chief songwriter and founder of Weezer. Born in New York City and raised partly in Connecticut, he played in several bands before forming Weezer in Los Angeles in 1992, and has since released 20 studio albums with the group. The debut Blue Album (1994) made Weezer stars, and while Pinkerton (1996) was initially overlooked, it has since become a revered fan favorite. Cuomo then steered the band toward sharp, hook-heavy pop on the Green Album (2001). Weezer's video for "Pork and Beans" won the Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video, part of Cuomo's one win from five nominations. He has issued demo collections including Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo (2007) and Alone II (2008), shared thousands of home recordings online, and recorded two Japanese-language albums with songwriter Scott Murphy as Scott & Rivers. He has worked with Panic! at the Disco, Hayley Williams and Todd Rundgren, among others, and co-headlined the Hella Mega Tour in 2021. Cuomo brings a catalog of crunchy, singalong guitar anthems loved across generations.
