Book Gotye
Gotye is the stage name of Wouter De Backer, an Australian musician born in Belgium, a singer-songwriter who plays many instruments and builds songs from live playing and sampled sounds. His 2011 single "Somebody That I Used to Know," featuring Kimbra, topped the Billboard Hot 100 and several international charts and ranked among the year's top sellers in 2012. At the 2013 Grammy Awards the song took Record of the Year plus the Grammy for best duo or group pop performance with vocals, and its parent album, Making Mirrors (2012), took the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. He has collected multiple ARIA Awards, among them Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Male Artist and Producer of the Year, plus an Echo Pop Award for Hit of the Year and a MTV Europe Music Award for Best Australia and New Zealand Act.
