Book Blues Traveler
Blues Traveler is a jam-rock band formed in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1987 around singer and harmonica virtuoso John Popper, guitarist Chan Kinchla and drummer Brendan Hill, later joined by bassist Tad Kinchla and keyboardist Ben Wilson. The group built a following through relentless touring and helped launch the H.O.R.D.E. festival in the early 1990s. Its breakthrough album four in 1994 included "Run-Around" and "Hook," and "Run-Around" won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal; Grammy.com lists one win and two nominations. Other albums include Save His Soul, Straight On Till Morning, Bridge, Truth Be Told, Suzie Cracks the Whip, Blow Up the Moon, Traveler's Blues in 2021 and Traveler's Soul in 2023. In 2017 the band played a six-night unplugged residency, Unhooked, at Cleopatra's Barge at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Popper's lightning-fast harmonica solos remain the center of a lively, improvisational live show.
