Book John Popper
John Popper is a harmonica virtuoso, singer and songwriter best known as the frontman and co-founder of Blues Traveler, the jam band formed in 1987. His rapid-fire, technically dazzling harmonica solos became the signature of the group's sound on "Run-Around," which won a Grammy for the band, and on "Hook" and "But Anyway." Blues Traveler also helped create the H.O.R.D.E. touring festival, which brought together a generation of jam bands. Away from the band, Popper released the solo album Zygote in 1999, formed a side project, the Duskray Troubadours, and recorded John Popper & the Duskray Troubadours in 2011. Since 2017 he has also played solo acoustic shows across the country, often joined on piano by Blues Traveler keyboardist Ben Wilson, mixing band favorites with songs from his solo catalog for theaters and festivals. In February 2024 he played an intimate piano-and-harmonica set for media and VIP guests at the Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee media camp in Las Vegas.
