Book Linda Eder
Linda Eder is an American singer and actress whose soaring, powerhouse voice made her a Broadway star and a beloved concert headliner. Raised in Minnesota, she grew up idolizing Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand and Eileen Farrell, and sang in Minneapolis clubs and at Harrah's in Atlantic City before winning Star Search in 1988. That victory brought her to composer Frank Wildhorn, and she signed with RCA Records, starred in his musical Svengali and created the role of Lucy Harris in the 1997 Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde. The performance earned her a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut and a Drama Desk Award nomination, and she later starred in the world premiere of Camille Claudel in 2003. Eder has released 17 albums, including It's Time (1997), It's No Secret Anymore (1999), Gold (2002), Broadway My Way (2003), By Myself: The Songs of Judy Garland (2005), The Other Side of Me (2008), Now (2011), Retro (2015) and If You See Me (2019). She has headlined Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Greek Theater. Eder delivers elegant evenings of Broadway, pop and standards sung with breathtaking power.
