Book Kansas
Formed in Topeka in 1973, Kansas is an American rock group whose blend of hard rock, violin and progressive ambition made it a pillar of classic rock radio. After building a following on album-oriented stations with Kansas (1974), Song for America (1975) and Masque (1975), the group broke big with Leftoverture (1976) and Point of Know Return (1977), home to the enduring anthems "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind." Monolith (1979) and the live set Two for the Show kept the run going, and the band filled arenas and stadiums across North America, Europe and Japan. Later studio albums include Audio-Visions (1980), Vinyl Confessions (1982), Power (1986), In the Spirit of Things (1988), Somewhere to Elsewhere (2000), The Prelude Implicit (2016) and The Absence of Presence (2020). Kansas has earned a Grammy nomination and was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2005. In concert the band delivers soaring harmonies, intricate instrumental passages and two of the most recognizable songs in rock history, giving audiences a full-scale classic rock experience.
