Book Yes
Yes entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 and won the Grammy in the rock instrumental category for "Cinema" from their 1983 album 90125. That record also gave the English progressive rock band their only Billboard Hot 100 number one, "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Formed in London in 1968 by Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Bill Bruford, Tony Kaye and Peter Banks, the group found its signature sound once Steve Howe joined, releasing The Yes Album, Fragile with the hit "Roundabout," Close to the Edge and the live set Yessongs, all platinum sellers in the United States. Tales from Topographic Oceans, Relayer, Going for the One and Tormato followed, and the band became known for elaborate stage productions and Roger Dean's album art. Later lineups added Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, Alan White, Geoff Downes and Trevor Horn, with five Grammy nominations across the band's history. Yes have kept recording and touring into their sixth decade, issuing The Quest (2021), Mirror to the Sky (2023) and Aurora (2026), bringing their catalog past 20 studio albums.
