How much does it cost to book a celebrity?
There is no single price. Fees vary widely from one person to another and from one event to the next. A newer or regional act may cost a few thousand dollars; a global headliner can cost many times more. That is why this site shows only wide estimated bands, never a quote.
What affects the fee?
The date (weekends, holidays and peak season are in demand), the location and travel involved, the length and type of appearance (a full concert, a short set, a speech, a meet-and-greet), whether the event is private or public, exclusivity and radius clauses, and the artist's current touring schedule.
What costs come on top of the fee?
Usually travel and lodging, ground transport, hospitality and the technical and hospitality riders (sound, lights, backline, staging), plus production, security and sometimes a band or crew. Budget for these separately from the fee.
How do I hire a famous singer?
1) Set a realistic budget band, including production and travel. 2) Fix your date, city, venue and audience size. 3) Make a shortlist of several artists across a band, because availability changes. 4) Send an inquiry; an agency such as Altus Entertainment contacts the artist's representatives, checks availability and presents a written offer. 5) If accepted, you sign a contract, usually pay a deposit, and the rider is negotiated. 6) Plan the technical advance with the artist's team well before the show.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. Popular artists plan tours well in advance, and early inquiries give you more choices.
How do I avoid scams?
Be careful with anyone who claims to be an artist's "exclusive" agent without proof, pressures you to wire money quickly, or quotes a firm price without a written contract. Work with established agencies and get everything in writing.
What do the fee bands on this site mean?
They are wide planning estimates, not quotes. The real fee is set by the artist's representatives for your specific date and event.
