Book Bad Omens
Bad Omens is a heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia, whose 2022 album The Death of Peace of Mind produced "Just Pretend," the song that lifted them to a new level of popularity. Vocalist and producer Noah Sebastian started the group in 2015 with guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo and bassist Vincent Riquier, with Swedish guitarist Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson and drummer Nick Folio completing the lineup. Signed to Sumerian Records, they released their self-titled debut in 2016, with the breakout track "The Worst in Me," and joined Asking Alexandria on the label's Ten Years in the Black Tour. They played Warped Tour in 2017, supported Parkway Drive in 2018 and released their second album, Finding God Before God Finds Me, in 2019. Their sound starts from metalcore and alternative metal and has grown to take in dark pop, R&B and electronic textures. After The Death of Peace of Mind, they joined Underoath's Voyeurist Tour, headlined runs across Europe and North America in 2023 and opened for Bring Me the Horizon in early 2024. That year they released "V.A.N." with Poppy and Concrete Jungle [The OST], an experimental companion to their third album.
