Book Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is the band the chief songwriter, guitarist and singer of Oasis launched in 2010, a year after he walked away from that group. He unveiled the project at a London press conference in July 2011, and the self-titled debut album followed that October, preceded by "The Death of You and Me" and backed by "AKA... What a Life!," "If I Had a Gun...," "Dream On" and "Everybody's on the Run." Chasing Yesterday came in 2015, and Who Built the Moon? arrived in November 2017, followed by three EPs across 2019 and 2020 and the album Council Skies in June 2023. The live lineup brings together Oasis alumni Gem Archer on guitar, Mike Rowe on piano and Chris Sharrock on drums with former Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard. Guests on the records have included Johnny Marr, Paul Weller, Amorphous Androgynous and the Crouch End Festival Chorus. The name joins a nod to the album Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac with the song "High Flying Bird," made famous by Jefferson Airplane. In 2018 the band toured on the Stranded on the Earth World Tour.
