Book Asgeir
Ásgeir is an Icelandic singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in 1992, known for his delicate falsetto and atmospheric folk-electronic sound. Originally credited as Ásgeir Trausti, he released his debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn (2012), which produced a string of Icelandic chart-toppers including "Leyndarmál" and the title track, while "Sumargestur" climbed to number two. His holiday collaboration with BlazRoca, "Hvítir skór", held the top spot in Iceland for nine straight weeks. In 2013 he introduced the English-language counterpart In the Silence, translated with help from American singer John Grant, who also appeared in the video for "King and Cross". He was honored with a Music Moves Europe Award in 2014. Afterglow (2017) delivered the singles "Unbound" and "Stardust", and Bury the Moon arrived in 2020 alongside its Icelandic twin Sátt. Later releases include the EP The Sky Is Painted Gray Today, Time on My Hands (2022) with the single "Snowblind", and Julia (2026). Backed by his band, Ásgeir brings a hushed, beautifully crafted live show that pairs Nordic melancholy with warm, intimate songcraft.
