Book John Craigie
John Craigie is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller whose shows mix sharp folk songwriting with genuinely funny between-song tales. Often compared to Woody Guthrie, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and Pete Seeger for his road-dog troubadour life, and to Mitch Hedberg for his deadpan humor, he has built a devoted following one live show at a time. His catalog runs from Second Grade Awakening (2004) and A Picnic on the 405 (2007) through Montana Tale (2009), The Apocalypse Is Over (2013), No Rain, No Rose (2017), recorded in his Portland living room with Gregory Alan Isakov and Shook Twins, Scarecrow (2018), Asterisk the Universe (2020), Mermaid Salt (2022), Pagan Church (2024) and I Swam Here (2026). His 2016 live album Capricorn In Retrograde… Just Kidding… Live in Portland reached Jack Johnson, who invited him to open 11 dates of his 2017 summer tour and joined him nightly on I Wrote Mr. Tambourine Man. Craigie has also shared stages with Todd Snider, Shawn Colvin, the Avett Brothers and Trampled by Turtles. He delivers warm songs, big laughs and real connection.
