Book Matt Costa
Huntington Beach, California, native Matt Costa is a singer-songwriter known for sunny, melodic folk-pop with a vintage touch. His career took off in 2003 when a homemade demo found its way to No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont, who recorded more songs with him in his home studio. Those sessions became two self-released EPs that were combined into his first full-length album, Songs We Sing (2005). That summer Costa opened for Jack Johnson, joined him again for a 2006 European tour and contributed "Lullaby" to the Curious George soundtrack. He has also shared tours with Modest Mouse, Oasis and Death Cab for Cutie and taken his songs to audiences on five continents. His albums include Unfamiliar Faces (2007), whose single "Mr. Pitiful" turned up in the comedy I Love You, Man, Mobile Chateau (2010), Matt Costa (2013), Santa Rosa Fangs (2018), Yellow Coat (2020) and Zero x Matt Costa (2024). His debut single "Cold December" arrived in 2006, and "If You Took To Me" was featured in the documentary Arctic Tale. Costa brings breezy, beautifully crafted songs and seasoned road experience.
