Book Watchhouse
Watchhouse is an Americana and folk duo from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, made up of songwriter Andrew Marlin on vocals, mandolin, guitar and banjo and Emily Frantz on vocals, violin and guitar. Formed in 2009 and originally known as Mandolin Orange, the pair built a devoted following with understated harmonies and Marlin's finely crafted roots songs. After Quiet Little Room (2010), they joined Yep Roc Records in 2013 and released This Side of Jordan (2013), Such Jubilee (2015), Blindfaller (2016) and Tides of a Teardrop (2019), plus the live set Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. In 2021 they adopted the name Watchhouse and released a self-titled album, followed by Watchhouse (Duo) in 2022 and Rituals in 2025. The duo has toured the United States and Europe and played Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, Telluride Bluegrass, Newport Folk, MerleFest, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and Pickathon, and they were featured on the CBS Saturday Morning Sessions in December 2019. Their concerts are quiet, focused and deeply affecting, built on close harmony and acoustic musicianship.
