Book The Kooks

The Kooks are the Brighton indie rock band behind "Naïve," "She Moves in Her Own Way," "Ooh La" and "Always Where I Need to Be," songs that made them one of the breakout guitar bands of the mid-2000s. Formed in 2004, the group signed with Virgin Records just three months later, and its 2006 debut, Inside In/Inside Out, became a major international success. That year the Kooks took home a MTV Europe Music Award, and "She Moves in Her Own Way" was nominated at the Brit Awards. Konk (2008) followed, then Junk of the Heart (2011), the funk- and hip-hop-tinged Listen (2014), Let's Go Sunshine (2018), 10 Tracks to Echo in the Dark (2022) and Never/Know (2025). Singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Luke Pritchard leads the current lineup with Hugh Harris on bass, guitar and synthesizer and Alexis Nuñez on drums. Drawing on the 1960s British Invasion and the early 2000s guitar revival, and branching into reggae, ska and pop, the band has built a large following across Europe, Latin America and Asia. Their shows lean on a catalog of sunny, sing-along hits.
