Book The Vines
The Vines are an Australian rock band from Sydney, formed in 1994 and first known as Rishikesh, whose sound fuses 1960s garage rock with 1990s alternative rock. Vocalist and guitarist Craig Nicholls has been the constant presence through every line-up. The band's debut album, Highly Evolved, launched them in Australia, where "Get Free" won the ARIA Award for Breakthrough Artist – Single and the record collected five further nominations, with two more in later years. They worked with Capitol Records in the early part of their career and later released music through Ivy League Records. Their studio albums are Highly Evolved, Winning Days in 2004, Vision Valley in 2006, Melodia in 2008, Future Primitive in 2011, Wicked Nature in 2014 and In Miracle Land in 2016, seven in all. Raw, melodic and loud, the group delivers short, fast, fuzz-drenched songs with unpredictable stage energy and a garage-band spirit that connects with rock audiences who like their guitars big.
