Book The Courteeners
Courteeners are the Manchester-area rock band led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Liam Fray, celebrated for anthems like "Not Nineteen Forever" and "What Took You So Long?" and for headlining huge hometown shows at Manchester's Heaton Park. Fray, Michael Campbell and Mark Cuppello, friends since age ten in Middleton, formed the group in 2006, and guitarist Daniel "Conan" Moores joined soon after. Fray writes all of the band's music and lyrics and has said every song comes from personal experience. After the debut single "Cavorting" (2007), the band supported Stereophonics on their 2008 Decade in the Sun Tour and released their first album, St. Jude (2008), featuring "Not Nineteen Forever." Falcon (2010), Anna (2013), Concrete Love (2014), Mapping the Rendezvous (2016), More. Again. Forever. (2020) and Pink Cactus Café (2024) followed. In December 2012 they dropped "The" from their name. Producer Joe Cross replaced Cuppello on bass in 2015, and pianist Elina Lin took over from longtime touring keyboardist Adam Payne in 2019, with both Cross and Lin becoming official members in 2024. Their fans are known for singing every word back to the band.
