Book Royal Blood
Royal Blood is a rock duo from Worthing, England, formed in 2011, made up of Mike Kerr on vocals, bass guitar and keyboards and Ben Thatcher on drums. Their signature sound comes from Kerr's bass approach: he runs the instrument through effects pedals and amplifiers so that it sounds like both an electric guitar and a bass at once. Their first single, "Out of the Black," arrived in 2013, and the debut album, Royal Blood, followed in 2014. Later records are How Did We Get So Dark? in 2017, Typhoons in 2021, Back to the Water Below in 2023 and Dead Company in 2026, five studio albums in all. Despite having just two members, they fill huge venues with a thunderous, riff-heavy live show that feels much bigger than a duo.
