Patrick Topping is an English DJ, producer and founder of the record label Trick, a leading name in tech house. He came up playing his hometown club night Motion at Digital in Newcastle, then broke through on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations label, with further releases on Hottrax and Relief Records and multiple number ones on the Beatport Tech House chart. His 2014 Ibiza summer anthem "Forget" won him two DJ Awards, Newcomer DJ and Track of the Season, and in 2015 he delivered his first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. He was named Best Tech House DJ in 2018 and took DJ Mag's Best of British DJ of the year award in 2022. Topping launched Trick in early 2019 with his own Watch What Ya Doing, and the label has helped new artists such as Ewan McVicar with "Tell Me Something Good." In 2020 he and Hayley Topping released "New Reality," which Annie Mac named her Hottest Record in the World. Each summer he plays a Paradise residency at Ibiza's DC10, where Trick also ran a nine-week residency in 2022, and he has played Tomorrowland, Awakenings and Miami's Winter Music Conference.
