Book Bakermat
Bakermat is the stage name of Lodewijk Fluttert, a Dutch DJ and producer whose sound blends dance music with soul, jazz, funk, gospel and pop. He started DJing while studying psychology at Utrecht University and broke through in 2012 with the EPs Zomer and Vandaag, the latter built around a sample of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, which charted across Europe and became a signature anthem. His warm, melodic approach helped shape what many call melodic or tropical house, a style later embraced by a wave of artists including Kygo, Lost Frequencies and Felix Jaehn. Bakermat stands apart by bringing live musicians into his sets, with saxophonists, singers, violinists and percussionists joining him on stage, and in 2014 he formed the Bakermat Live Band and began hosting his own Bakermat & Friends stage at Tomorrowland. His album run includes The Ringmaster (2020), The Spirit (2021), From a Bakermat Point of View (2023), High Above (2024) and Grace Note (2025). Expect an uplifting, musical performance where club energy meets live instrumentation.
