Book Zhu

Zhu earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording for "Faded," the breakout single from his 2014 EP The Nightday that reached number three in Australia and went platinum there. The American DJ, singer and producer, signed to Mind of a Genius Records, released his first tracks anonymously that year, asking listeners to judge the music alone, and Pete Tong championed "Faded" on BBC Radio 1. He premiered his debut album, Generationwhy, during his closing set in Coachella's Sahara Tent in 2016, a performance that drew comparisons to Daft Punk, and he has since played Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Governors Ball, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra, Austin City Limits and Sziget. His second album, Ringos Desert, featured Tame Impala, and its single "Chasing Marrakech" soundtracked an Apple iPhone campaign. Supporting Dreamland 2021, led by the Tinashe collaboration "Only," he sold out six nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with a live band of guitar and saxophone, and his North American tour included three sold-out nights each at the Hollywood Palladium and the Brooklyn Mirage. He recorded his fourth album, Grace, inside San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, and released Black Midas in 2026.
