Book Four Tet
Four Tet is the London electronic producer Kieran Hebden, whose warm blend of organic samples, jazz textures and club rhythms has earned him five Grammy nominations. He first came to notice in the post-rock band Fridge, formed while he was at school in Putney, before releasing his debut Four Tet album, Dialogue, in 1999. Pause, Rounds (2003) and Everything Ecstatic (2005) built his reputation, and There Is Love in You (2010) reflected his years DJing at Shoreditch's Plastic People club. Through his own label, Text Records, he has released Pink, Beautiful Rewind, Morning/Evening, New Energy, Sixteen Oceans and Three (2024), among twelve studio albums. He has recorded with jazz drummer Steve Reid, released the tracks "Ego" and "Mirror" with Burial and Thom Yorke, arranged Madlib's 2021 album Sound Ancestors and remixed Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Bloc Party, Ellie Goulding and Madvillain. His remix of the xx's "Violent Noise" earned a Grammy nomination. As a DJ he has performed back-to-back sets with Skrillex and Fred Again, including a sold-out five-hour show at Madison Square Garden in February 2023, and he also produced Fred Again and Baby Keem's "leavemealone."
