Book Neil Finn
Neil Finn is a musician and songwriter from New Zealand, best known as a principal member of Split Enz and as lead singer of Crowded House. He joined Split Enz in 1977 and wrote most of the group's 1980s hits, including "I Got You," "One Step Ahead," "History Never Repeats" and "Message to My Girl." He then formed Crowded House, which found international success in 1987 with his song "Don't Dream It's Over." The band split in 1996, and he recorded with his brother as the Finn Brothers before re-forming Crowded House in 2006. In 2018 he toured with Fleetwood Mac and stayed a member until 2022. His solo albums include Try Whistling This (1990), One Nil (2001), Dizzy Heights (2014) and Out of Silence (2017), and he has also led the 7 Worlds Collide project. His honors include an Officer of the Order of the British Empire award in 1993, a honorary doctorate from the University of Waikato in 2000, an Aotearoa Music Award for best solo artist in 1999 and an APRA Music Award in 2002.
