Book Little Feat
Little Feat is an American rock band founded in Los Angeles in 1969 by Lowell George and Bill Payne, with Roy Estrada and Richie Hayward. The group's classic lineup, in place by late 1972, added bassist Kenny Gradney, guitarist Paul Barrere and percussionist Sam Clayton, and produced a distinctive blend of rock, funk, blues and New Orleans rhythm. Albums such as Sailin' Shoes in 1972, Dixie Chicken in 1973, Feats Don't Fail Me Now in 1974 and Time Loves a Hero in 1977 became touchstones for jam-friendly American roots rock. The band re-formed in 1987 after the death of George and has continued to perform and record, with 18 studio albums including Sam's Place in 2024 and Strike Up the Band in 2025. Little Feat has earned two Grammy nominations, and its concerts remain known for deep grooves, slide guitar and spirited improvisation.
