Book Erasure
Erasure is a synth-pop duo from London made up of singer Andy Bell and keyboardist and songwriter Vince Clarke, who earlier helped start Depeche Mode and later formed Yazoo. Since their debut Wonderland in 1986 they have built a loyal following with The Circus, The Innocents, Wild!, Chorus, I Say I Say I Say, Cowboy, Loveboat, Nightbird, Union Street, Tomorrow's World, Snow Globe, The Violet Flame, World Be Gone, World Beyond, The Neon and Day-Glo, a catalog of twenty-one albums. They received a BRIT Award in 1989 and toured on the Cowboy Tour in 1997. Their concerts bring Bell's flamboyant vocals, Clarke's electronic production and euphoric pop hooks to dance-floor audiences, with a devoted fan community worldwide. Clarke wrote the synth hooks that anchor songs like "A Little Respect," "Sometimes" and "Always," while Bell supplies the soaring melodies and costumes onstage.
