Book Eddie Griffin
Eddie Griffin is an American comic and screen actor known for his fearless, high-energy stage act and a string of hit comedies. His career began on a dare at a 1989 open-mic night, where his family stories earned a standing ovation; he soon worked clubs in Los Angeles, became a fixture at The Comedy Store and opened for Andrew Dice Clay. Television audiences know him as Eddie Sherman on the sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, which ran from 1996 to 2000, and he made a memorable appearance on Chappelle's Show. On film he played the title role in Undercover Brother (2002) and the scene-stealing T.J. Hicks in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (2005), with further roles in The Meteor Man (1993), Armageddon (1998), Double Take (2001), John Q (2002), Scary Movie 3 (2003) and Norbit (2007). He also voiced Richard Pryor on the animated Black Dynamite and appeared on two tracks of Dr. Dre's 1999 album 2001. Comedy Central placed him at number 62 when it ranked the greatest stand-ups ever, and he delivers a sharp, unfiltered live set.
