Book Tig Notaro
Tig Notaro is an American stand-up comedian, actress, director, producer and screenwriter celebrated for her bone-dry, deadpan delivery. She has been nominated twice for the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album, earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her 2015 special Boyish Girl Interrupted, and in 2026 received an Academy Award nomination as a producer of the documentary Come See Me in the Good Light. Before comedy she worked as a band manager in Denver, then started stand-up in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, going on to appear on Comedy Central Presents and The Sarah Silverman Program. Her debut album Good One arrived in 2011, followed by the acclaimed Live in 2012, and she co-hosted the podcast Professor Blastoff from 2011 to 2015. On screen she created and starred in One Mississippi (2015 to 2017) with Diablo Cody, played Jett Reno on Star Trek: Discovery (2019 to 2024) and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and appeared as Amanda Robinson on The Morning Show. She also hosted Under a Rock with Tig Notaro in 2019 and wrote the book I'm Just a Person. Notaro brings understated, razor-sharp storytelling.
