Book Tim Meadows
Tim Meadows is an American actor and comedian whose decade on Saturday Night Live made him a fixture of 1990s sketch comedy. After starting out in improv at the Soup Kitchen Saloon in Detroit, he joined The Second City in Chicago alongside Chris Farley, where SNL creator Lorne Michaels spotted him in 1990. Meadows officially joined the cast in February 1991 and stayed through 2000, a ten-season run that stood as the show's longest tenure until 2005, and his SNL work brought a 1993 Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. A new generation knows him from the 2004 comedy Mean Girls as Principal Duvall, a role he reprised in Mean Girls 2 and the 2024 musical film Mean Girls. On television he played John Glascott for six seasons as a recurring character on The Goldbergs before leading the spin-off Schooled for both of its seasons. His other films include The Even Stevens Movie (2003) and Dream Scenario (2023). Meadows brings smart, understated humor and a wealth of behind-the-scenes stories from the SNL stage and the world of improv comedy.
