Book Judah Friedlander

Judah Friedlander is an American stand-up comedian and actor best known as staff writer Frank Rossitano on NBC's sitcom 30 Rock. Film fans also know him as Toby Radloff in American Splendor, a performance that drew strong reviews and a supporting actor nomination at the 2004 Independent Spirit Awards, and music fans remember him as "the hug guy" from the 2001 Dave Matthews Band video for "Everyday". Friedlander's look is part of the act: oversized glasses, shaggy hair, a T-shirt and a trucker hat, often printed with a boast such as "World Champion". Stand-up is his first love and, by his own description, the most important part of his art; even while filming 30 Rock he kept doing sets in New York most nights of the week. His comedy blends over-the-top, self-aggrandizing boasts with a perfectly deadpan delivery, and he counts Steven Wright, Sam Kinison and John Mulrooney among his influences, with Dave Attell a personal favorite. Friedlander brings an original, interactive and quick-witted live show that keeps audiences laughing and guessing, delivered with a deadpan confidence that has become his trademark on stage and screen.
