Danger Mouse is the production name of Brian Burton, an American musician and producer whose work cuts across rock, hip-hop and pop. He first drew attention with The Grey Album in 2004, then formed Gnarls Barkley with CeeLo Green and later Broken Bells with James Mercer of The Shins. In the studio he produced Gorillaz's Demon Days (2005), four albums for The Black Keys including El Camino (2011) and Turn Blue (2014), and The Getaway (2016) for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. His own collaborative projects include Dark Night of the Soul (2009), Lux Prima (2019) with Karen O, and Cheat Codes (2022) with Black Thought. Danger Mouse has earned 22 Grammy nominations and six wins, among them album of the year for Adele's 25, best rock album for El Camino, best rock song for "Lonely Boy," and the producer of the year award in 2011. He brings a producer's ear and a deep catalog of genre-crossing collaborations to every project he joins.
