Book Beardyman

London's Beardyman is a producer, DJ, multivocalist, musician and comic, born Darren Alexander Foreman, whose dazzling beatboxing and live looping turn a single voice into an entire band. He won the British beatbox championship in 2006 and defended the title in 2007, becoming the first beatboxer to win it two years running, and he later sat on the 2008 judging panel. Inspired by MC Xander to bring technology into his act, he began using gear such as the Korg Kaoss Pad 3 to loop and sample his vocals, building complete a cappella arrangements in real time on stage. Virtually every sound in his music comes from his own mouth and vocal cords, reshaped with vocoders, software synthesis and effects like delay, reverb and modulation. His sets sweep through drum and bass, dubstep, breakbeat, trance and techno, with detours into reggae or country played for laughs. He released his debut album I Done an Album in 2011, followed by Distractions (2014) and the live record Beardyman Presents the Dream Team, Live at Electric Brixton (2016). Beardyman delivers an one-of-a-kind show that is equal parts musical wizardry and stand-up comedy.
