Book Tokimonsta
Tokimonsta is the stage name of Jennifer Lee, a Los Angeles record producer and DJ born in 1987 whose lush, genre-blurring beats bridge electronic music, hip-hop and R&B. After taking part in the London edition of the Red Bull Music Academy in 2010, she became the first woman signed to Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label, which released her debut album Midnight Menu (2010) and the EP Creature Dreams. Her catalog continued with Half Shadows (2013), Desiderium on her own Young Art Records, Fovere, Lune Rouge (2017), Oasis Nocturno (2020) and Eternal Reverie (2025). Lune Rouge earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, making her the first female Asian-American producer nominated in that category, and she has also been honored at the International Dance Music Awards. Her collaborators include ZHU, Selah Sue, Anderson .Paak, Isaiah Rashad and EarthGang, and remixed artists from Beck and Duran Duran to Sia, Disclosure and Odesza. She was also featured in the 2020 documentary Underplayed, discussing diversity in electronic music. Live, Tokimonsta brings a richly textured, groove-heavy set that moves effortlessly between dancefloor energy and dreamy atmosphere.
