Book Poison
Poison is the glam rock band that came together in 1983 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, best known in its classic lineup of singer Bret Michaels, guitarist C.C. DeVille, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett. The group exploded with its debut Look What the Cat Dragged In (1986) and kept climbing with Open Up and Say… Ahh! (1988) and Flesh & Blood (1990), its biggest seller. The power ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and the band added a long list of top 40 hits including "Talk Dirty to Me", "Nothin' But a Good Time", "Fallen Angel", "Your Mama Don't Dance", "Unskinny Bop" and "Something to Believe In". Later albums include Native Tongue (1993), Crack a Smile... and More! (2000), Hollyweird (2002) and the covers set Poison'd! (2007). The original four reunited for a greatest hits tour in 1999, and in 2006 they marked twenty years with The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock tour and album. A Poison show is a loud, colorful party of sing-along choruses, big guitar and pure arena-rock fun.
