Book Bret Michaels
Bret Michaels is the singer, songwriter and frontman of Poison, the glam metal band that placed ten singles in the Billboard Hot 100 top 40, including six top tens and the number-one ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Born Bret Michael Sychak in Butler, Pennsylvania, he also built a substantial solo career. He wrote, directed and starred in the 1998 film A Letter from Death Row and recorded its soundtrack, then released the rock album Songs of Life (2003). Serving as a judge on the talent show Nashville Star led to his country-flavored Freedom of Sound (2005). He starred in the VH1 dating series Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, which inspired the album Rock My World, and he won NBC's Celebrity Apprentice 3. A reality docuseries about his life accompanied Custom Built (2010), his highest-charting solo album, which reached number one on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart. Later solo releases include Jammin' With Friends and True Grit, and he headlines his own Parti-Gras tours. His shows mix Poison classics such as "Talk Dirty to Me" and "Nothin' but a Good Time" with solo hits.
