Book Kathy Ireland

Kathy Ireland is an American entrepreneur, author, designer and philanthropist who turned a celebrated modeling career into a global brand licensing empire. Discovered by Elite Model Management at her high school in 1979, when she was 16, she became one of the defining supermodels of the 1980s and 1990s. She appeared in 13 consecutive Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, landing three covers, and her 1989 cover was later honored by the magazine at its 50th anniversary celebration as the greatest swimsuit cover of all time. She also graced the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Mademoiselle, Shape and Seventeen. In 1993 she founded Kathy Ireland Worldwide, a licensing company that grew into a powerhouse spanning home furnishings, fashion and lifestyle products, eventually ranked 15th among licensing brands worldwide. She was inducted into the Licensing Hall of Fame, and her move from cover girl to business leader has inspired a new generation of models, including Kate Upton, to follow her path. She has also worked as an actress and author. Ireland shares hard-won lessons on brand building, reinvention and leading a company with purpose.
