Five for Fighting is the stage name of pianist and singer-songwriter John Ondrasik, whose piano-driven soft rock produced some of the early 2000s' most enduring radio songs. After his 1997 debut Message for Albert, he broke through with 2000's America Town and the single "Superman (It's Not Easy)," which became a signature song, then added "100 Years" in 2003 and "The Riddle" in 2006. Later albums include The Battle for Everything in 2004, Two Lights in 2006, Slice in 2009 and Bookmarks in 2013. Ondrasik was born on January 7, 1965. "Superman" earned a Grammy nomination in 2002, and his songs have turned up in roughly 350 films, television programs and commercials.
