Book Filter
Filter is an American rock band founded in Cleveland in 1993 by singer Richard Patrick, the former touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails, together with guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang. Signed to Reprise Records, the group exploded with its debut album Short Bus (1995) and the hard-hitting single "Hey Man Nice Shot," a staple of alternative radio. Filter followed with Title of Record (1999), which delivered the haunting crossover hit "Take a Picture," then The Amalgamut (2002). Patrick, the band's constant creative force through every lineup, has kept Filter moving with Anthems for the Damned (2008), The Trouble With Angels (2010), The Sun Comes Out Tonight (2013) and Crazy Eyes (2016), and the band's eighth studio album, The Algorithm, arrived in 2023. Liesegang rejoined the fold in 2018, reconnecting the band with its original sound. Blending industrial grit, heavy guitars and big melodic hooks, Filter remains a powerhouse live act whose shows deliver the '90s anthems fans grew up with alongside newer material. Patrick's commanding voice and the band's high-energy performances make for a loud, cathartic and nostalgic rock night.
