Book Richard Patrick

Richard Patrick is the American singer, songwriter and musician who founded and fronts the rock band Filter, serving as its only constant member. He first came up as a touring guitarist in Trent Reznor's live Nine Inch Nails lineup from 1989 to 1993, after a chance meeting in a Cleveland music store; he can be heard at the end of "Sanctified" on Pretty Hate Machine and appeared in videos including "Head Like a Hole." Before leaving that group he launched Filter with Brian Liesegang, and the 1995 debut Short Bus delivered the hit "Hey Man Nice Shot." Patrick followed it in 1999 with Title of Record, made with guitarist Geno Lenardo, and has steered Filter through its later releases, including work for Wind-up Records. He also co-founded the supergroups Army of Anyone and The Damning Well. In 2022 he joined fellow Nine Inch Nails alumni on stage for a special performance of classic songs from his era, closing with "Hey Man Nice Shot." His shows bring industrial-edged guitars, powerful vocals and the anthems that made Filter a fixture of alternative rock radio.
