Book Ed Kowalczyk
Ed Kowalczyk is an American singer, songwriter and musician best known as the voice of the rock band Live, for which he served as lead singer, lyricist and principal songwriter from its formation. He launched a solo career in 2010 with the album Alive, followed by The Garden in 2012 and The Flood and the Mercy in 2013. From 2014 through 2016 he toured the U.S., Europe and Australia with acoustic concerts marking the 20th anniversary of Live's album Throwing Copper. He returned to Live in December 2016 and now leads the band as its only official member. His collaborators include Glen Ballard, Stuart Davis, Shelby Lynne, Neneh Cherry, Anouk, Red Wanting Blue and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz, and he featured on "Evolution Revolution Love" from Tricky's 2001 album Blowback. He has also teamed with Talking Heads alumni Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison. Kowalczyk's soaring voice and the anthems he wrote for Live give audiences a powerful mix of 1990s alternative rock classics and heartfelt solo material.
