Book World Classic Rockers
World Classic Rockers, often shortened to WCR, is a Las Vegas-based rock supergroup founded in 1995 by bassist Nick St. Nicholas of Steppenwolf. Built on a rotating-lineup concept in the spirit of Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band, the group brings together veterans of famous classic rock acts, with the roster changing based on which musicians are free from their own projects at any given time. St. Nicholas has been on the road with WCR from the start, serving as its anchor and organizer. The very first WCR show was staged on December 10, 1995, in Fort Lauderdale, featuring St. Nicholas alongside Toto singer Bobby Kimball and Badfinger's Joey Molland, backed by Richard Ward on keys, Rosilee on vocals, Mike Younce on drums and Kurt Griffey on guitar. For that debut, the musicians teamed with Mike Pinera and his Classic Rock All-Stars to stage a concert for the Harley-Davidson Toys for Tots Run. The format lets audiences hear signature hits from several legendary bands in a single night, performed by players who helped make them famous. A WCR concert is a jukebox of classic rock history delivered with real stage experience and plenty of guitar firepower.
