Book David Robinson
David Robinson, "the Admiral," is a Hall of Fame center whose entire 14-year NBA career was spent with the San Antonio Spurs. A standout at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he won the John R. Wooden Award in 1987, he was the first overall pick in that year's draft but served his active-duty Navy commitment before debuting in 1989. He made an immediate impact, winning NBA Rookie of the Year, then added the Defensive Player of the Year award in 1992 and league MVP in 1995. Robinson won two NBA championships, in 1999 and 2003, and earned 10 All-Star selections and 10 All-NBA honors. Internationally he won Olympic gold in 1992 as part of the original Dream Team and again in 1996. He is a two-time Naismith Hall of Fame inductee, a FIBA Hall of Fame member and was named to both the NBA 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams. Off the court his character was recognized with the J.
