Book Rick Fox
Rick Fox is a Bahamian-Canadian former basketball star, three-time NBA champion, actor and entrepreneur. After playing college ball at North Carolina, he was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1991 and became the first rookie to start on opening night for the club since Larry Bird, earning a spot on the 1992 All-Rookie Second Team. He grew into Boston's starting small forward, then signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1997, where he was a key piece of the championship era that won three titles. Away from the court, Fox built a busy screen career with roles in Oz, He Got Game, One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty, The Game, The Big Bang Theory, Single Ladies, Sharknado, Greenleaf, All Rise and Highest 2 Lowest, and he co-wrote the novel Some Other Woman. He also founded and owned the esports franchise Echo Fox until 2019, and in 2026 he took a seat as an opposition senator in the Bahamian Senate. Fox brings a rare mix of championship pedigree, Hollywood polish and business savvy, with stories that span the Showtime-era Lakers, television sets and the business of gaming.
