Book Creed
Creed, a rock group from Tallahassee, Florida, came together in 1994 around singer Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti, with bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. They became leading names in the post-grunge movement with My Own Prison, then Human Clay, which delivered "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open," a song that earned its writers a Grammy for Best Rock Song. Weathered followed in 2001 with "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath," and Full Circle arrived in 2009 after a break, four albums in all. Grammy.com lists two nominations for the group. After Tremonti, Marshall and Phillips launched Alter Bridge, Creed reunited again and returned to stages with Stapp and Tremonti in the Summer of '99 tour. The band delivers a stadium-sized sound built around Stapp's baritone and Tremonti's guitar riffs.
